Livelihood Program

The rural livelihood program run by Pragatisheel Mahila reaches out to small and marginal farmers and the landless in dryland regions by working on natural farming, agriculture and horticulture enhancement, livestock development, micro-enterprise development including craft and promoting collectives.

Projects successfully completed with funding received from Handicraft department

  • Baseline survey 2017 – 2018 in bamboo cluster formation in Paitiha Koraon
  • Distribution of improved tools to 50 cane and bamboo artisans in 2020 to 2021
  • Organised Prayagraj craft mela in Chandra Guest House with 30 shops from 14 to 23 June 2019
  • Organised Mathura Shilp Mela in 2020 to 2021
  • Conducted one day seminar in Green Garden Naini Prayagraj teaching women about GST, GEM registration and online portals such as Amazon and Flipkart.
